Security questions
How do Microsoft 365 backups work with NexJen?
Every covered user's Exchange email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data is backed up by a dedicated third-party backup service, separate from Microsoft's own short-term retention. If files are deleted, overwritten or encrypted by ransomware, we use that backup to recover them.
Do you provide MDR or EDR?
Yes. Every covered computer gets endpoint protection with managed detection and response (MDR), which watches for threats and responds to them, not just antivirus. It is included in NexJen Essentials for one device per user; extra devices are $5 per device per month.
Do you enforce multi-factor authentication?
Yes, for every client. It is typically in place within the first one to two weeks of onboarding. On Microsoft 365 Business Premium we use Conditional Access policies, rolled out in stages; on Business Basic and Standard we use Microsoft’s Security Defaults, which also require MFA.
What happens during a security incident?
Our response target for an active security incident is one support hour. We contain first, for example by isolating an affected computer or resetting passwords and signing out active sessions, then investigate, keep you updated in plain language and notify your authorized contacts formally. Afterward you get a written summary of what happened and what we changed.
Is security an extra cost?
No. The security baseline, MFA enforcement, endpoint protection with MDR and Microsoft 365 backup are all included in the $149 per user monthly price.
What is the free Security Snapshot?
It is a free 30-minute review. We check your email security from the outside and tell you honestly whether NexJen is a good fit.
