Managed IT questions
What is included in NexJen Essentials?
Every covered user gets Microsoft 365 management (accounts, email, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and admin settings), managed detection and response on their Windows or Mac computer, Microsoft 365 backup, 24/7 monitoring and patching, a security baseline including multi-factor authentication, unlimited remote help desk support during business hours, onboarding and offboarding, and an optional annual check-in.
Is support unlimited?
Yes. Remote help desk support during business hours is unlimited for covered users and devices, with no per-ticket charges. After-hours and emergency support is available at $250 per hour, with a one-hour minimum and 15-minute increments after that. Reporting a suspected security incident is always free, any time.
How does onboarding work?
It starts with a free 30-minute review: we check your email security from the outside and tell you honestly whether we are a fit. After you sign, we install monitoring and endpoint protection, turn on backup and enforce multi-factor authentication, usually in the first one to two weeks. Most clients are fully onboarded within about 30 days, and we agree a target go-live date with you at kickoff.
Do you support Macs?
Yes. NexJen Essentials covers both Windows and Mac computers, including monitoring, patching and endpoint protection.
Is there a contract?
Yes. NexJen Essentials uses a 12-month agreement; month-to-month is not available. If you need to end early, you give 30 days’ written notice and pay 75% of the remaining monthly fees plus any third-party costs that can’t be cancelled.
How fast do you respond to support requests?
Our response target for an active security incident is one support hour. Other urgent and standard tickets received before 3:00 PM get a response the same business day, and later ones by noon the next business day. Low-priority requests are answered within three business days. These are targets, not guarantees.
Do I need Microsoft 365 Business Premium?
No. NexJen Essentials works with any Microsoft 365 business plan. Business Premium unlocks deeper controls such as Conditional Access and Defender for Business, so the security baseline is stronger on that plan, but your NexJen price is the same either way.
